Managing Transfer Templates
Transfer templates allow you to build a list of products that are transferred on a regular basis, to be selected when Creating Transfers. They are particularly useful Central Product Kitchen (CPK) scenarios.
A transfer template can either be specific to an individual site or it can be available to all sites in the company.
Creating Transfer Templates
When creating a transfer template, if the template should be available to all sites you need to be logged into the Head Office site. Otherwise, log into the specific site that the template should relate to.
To create a transfer template, head to Inventory Management > Transfers > Transfer Templates and select [New Transfer Template].
Within the New Transfer Template window:
- Name: Enter a name for the template.
- All Sites: If logged into the Head Office site, select this if the template can be available at all sites.
Select [Save Transfer Template].
You'll be taken into the stock transfer template, where you can select [New Template Item] to add products in a new row at the bottom of the list:
- Product: Select the product from the list.
- Quantity: If required, enter an transfer quantity to show by default in new stock transfers using this template into any of the quantity fields.
Repeat until all products are added, then select [Save Transfer Template]
The transfer template is then available to select when creating transfers.
Editing Transfer Templates
Transfer templates can be edited without impacting on past transfers that used the template.
If you need to edit a companywide transfer template log into the head office site. Otherwise, log into the site that the transfer template relates to.
To edit a transfer template, head to Inventory Management > Transfers > Transfer Templates, locate the required stock transfer template and select [Edit].
Within the transfer template, against existing lines the Quantity can be edited if required, to show by default in new transfers using the template.
Additionally, the order of products can be changed by using the drag-and-drop buttons.
And new products can be added by selecting [New Template Item] and in the new row at the bottom of the list:
- Product: Select the product from the list.
- Quantity: If required, enter a quantity to show by default in new transfers.
Searching Transfer Templates
Access Transfer Templates via: Inventory Management > Transfers > Transfer Templates.
All companywide transfer templates as well as transfer templates specific to the site that you are logged in to are shown by default when accessing this section.
There is no option to perform a search to narrow down the list in this section currently.
The transfer templates list shows the following:
- Name: The name of the transfer template.
- Created: The date that the transfer template was created.
- Created By: The user that created the transfer template.
Deleting Transfer Templates
A transfer template can be deleted if no longer required.
You can only delete a transfer template if you have rights to do so. Click Here if you do not have rights to delete but believe you should.
To delete a transfer template, head to Inventory Management > Transfers > Transfer Templates, locate the required stock transfer template and select [Edit].
Within the transfer template, select [DELETE] and confirm.
The transfer template is now as deleted.
This is a hard delete, so the transfer template cannot be recovered.
