Time Clocks: Create

Introduction

Time clock records are created in one of three ways:

 

Cinchio Operations Hub (FOH)

Time clock records can be created quickly and efficiently front-of-house without needing to log into Cinchio back office, by using the Cinchio Operations Hub.

Cinchio Back Office

To create a time clock via the back office:

  • Head to User Management > Time Clock. 
  • Select [CREATE TIME CLOCK].

In the Create Time Clock Record page:

  • Team Member: Select the team member that the time clock record is for.
  • Job Role: If applicable, select the Job Role that the team member works during the shift.
  • Location: If applicable, select which location the team member is working within during the shift.
  • Clock In Date & Time: Select the time that the team member clocked on.
  • Clock Out Date & Time: If applicable, also select the time that the team member clocked out.
  • Declare Cash Tips: If applicable, declare the value of cash tips received during the shift.

Then select either:

  • [CREATE & EXIT] - To create the time clock and return to the time clocks index.
  • [CREATE & ADD DETAILS] - To create the time clock and access the Time Clock Edit page to add further information (e.g. breaks). 

Depending on the dates entered, the time clock gets saved in one of the following states:

  • Open Shift - If only a Clock In Date is entered.
  • Closed Shift - If both a Clock In Date and Clock Out Date are entered. 

Alternatively, if a Clock Out Date was selected and no further details are required, select [APPROVE] to immediately Approve the time clock record.

 

Automatic (Via POS Integration)

Time clock records can be created automatically as part of a direct integrations with selected POS systems. For more details, contact Cinchio: 

If the shift is currently open on the POS, the time clock record within Cinchio back office is automatically created in Open Shift state. If the shift has been closed on the POS, the time clock record within Cinchio back office is automatically created in or updated to Closed Shift state.

Any changes made to the shift at the POS within 7 days of the shift being created will be captured within the time clock in Cinchio back office, if the time clock has not yet been approved.
