Introduction
Each menu has a series of core settings. To update these:
- Head to Menu Management > Menu Builder.
- Against the relevant menu, select [EDIT].
These settings include:
Menu Attributes
Within the top section of the menu, the following menu attributes are available:
- Menu Name: Enter the name of the menu as it should be known internally.
- Default Menu Title: Enter the name of the menu as it should show on menu platforms to customers.
- Default Menu Subtitle: Enter a description of the menu as it should show on menu platforms to customers.
- Menu Image: Upload a header image for the menu. [Deliveroo only]
Additionally, for reference only you can see:
- Last Updated: The time that the menu was last updated.
- Validated: Whether or not the menu has been Validated since it was last updated.
Default Days & Timings
Within the Default Days & Timings section of the menu, against each day of the week specify:
- Whether the menu is available by default on each day of the week.
- The Default Start Time and Default End Time for each day of the week.
These are default times but can be overridden by both Store Opening Hours and Menu Timing overrides. For full information on how Menu Times are established when publishing menus, see: What Times Are Used When A Menu Is Published?
Recommendation: If the menu is shared across many locations, set the default times to reflect the time that the earliest location opens and the latest location closes; Store Opening Hours can then be utilised to reduce the times that the menu is available across other locations.
