QHow do I set up JAWS accessibility on a kiosk?

Cinchio Kiosk supports JAWS, a screen reader that helps blind and low-vision guests use the kiosk through speech and keyboard input.

What do you need to do?

Install JAWS

Open JAWS for Kiosk

From the menu screen, press the Home button on the back of the Elo device twice, then select JAWS for Kiosk.

Open Admin Settings

Select Admin Settings and enter the password: Password.

Go to Licensing

Select Licensing, shown in black.

Confirm you have a licence

Select the blue I have a License button at the bottom of the screen.

Enter the licensing URL

In the URL field, enter https://www.ichibod.com/jaws.jsl.

Import the licence

Select Import.

JAWS for Kiosk is installed. Check it's switched on with the licence status check.

Check it's licensed and on

Open the menu

From the current screen, press the Home button on the back of the Elo device twice, then select the menu icon (three lines, top right).

Open Admin

Select Admin and enter the password.

Go to Android Settings

Select Settings, then Android Settings.

Open Accessibility

Scroll down and select Accessibility.

Select JAWS for Kiosk

Select JAWS for Kiosk.

Check the Use service switch

Make sure the Use service switch is on. If it isn't, switch it on.

JAWS for Kiosk is licensed and switched on.

What guests need

A Storm keyboard

Plug a Storm accessibility keyboard into the kiosk, so guests can use JAWS by keyboard.

Wired headphones

Guests listen to JAWS through wired headphones.

Getting back to the menu

Press the Home button on the back of the Elo device until you reach the menu.
