The F&B kiosk supports JAWS to help blind or low vision users interact with our kiosks through speech and keyboard input.
Installation
To install JAWS in the kiosk, you must follow the below steps:
In the menu screen select the "Home" button twice ("Home" button should be in the back of the “elo” device)
Select “Jaws for Kiosk”
Select “Admin Settings” and enter password: Password
Select “Licensing” in black
Select “I have a License” from the blue button at the bottom of the screen
In the URL field, enter: https://www.ichibod.com/jaws.jsl
After entering the URL, select “Import” It should take you to the next screen
You are done!
License status check
In order to check for the license status please follow below steps:
From the current screen, select the “Home” button twice from the back of the Elo device. Then select the Hamburger Icon (3-line icon in the top right corner)
Select “Admin” and enter the password
After the password, select “Settings” and then select “Android Settings”
In the new menu, scroll down to find “Accessibility” and select it
Select “JAWS for Kiosk”
In the “Use service” row, make sure the “switch” is on
If it is “on”, you are done. If it is not, switch it on.
Note: Select the “Home” button at the back of the Elo device until you reach the menu. A “Storm” accessibility keyboard could be plugged in to interact with JAWS accessibility audio; make sure to have wired headphones.
