Step 1: Modifier Group Settings
To create a new modifier group:
- Head to Product Management > Modifier Groups.
- Select [NEW MODIFIER GROUP].
In the New Modifier Group page:
- Modifier Group Name: Enter a name for use throughout Cinchio Back Office.
- Min Count: If required, enter a value to specify the minimum number of modifiers required when prompted with this modifier group.
- Max Count: If required, enter a value to specify the maximum number of modifiers required when prompted with this modifier group.
- Modifier Menu Name: Enter the name of the modifier group that customers will see on menus using this modifier group.
- Modifier Menu Description: Enter a description of the modifier group that customers will see on menus using this modifier group.
- Pick Same Option Multiple Times: Enable this option if customers are allowed to pick the same modifier multiple times within menus.
- Expand Options By Default: Enable this option if the modifier group should be expanded by default on Cinchio Digital Ordering platforms.
Step 2: Modifier Group Products
Now within the modifier group, to add modifiers select [ADD MODIFIER GROUP PRODUCT].
Within the Add Modifier Group Product window:
- Merchant: For multi-merchant companies only, select the merchant from the list to filter the product list below.
- Product: Select the product to be used as a modifier.
- Pricing Type: For modifier groups used in menus, select the pricing type as either:
- Menu Item Price: The price of this product as a modifier will be the standard product price.
- Modifier Item Price: The price of this product as a modifier will be different than the standard product price.
- Override Product Name For Menus: If required, enter a different name for this product that your customers will see on menus. This overrides the Cinchio Back Office product name.
Then select [ADD MODIFIER GROUP PRODUCT].
Repeat to add additional modifier products to the modifier group.
Once all modifier group products are added, if required you can use the arrows on each row to drag-and-drop modifier products into the desired position.
