Checking PiKS / KMS Temperature
If a KMS (Kitchen Management System) unit feels hot to the touch or appears to be throttling CPU performance, you can check the internal temperature to determine if it's overheating.
If you see the warning screen below, your KMS is running too hot. We recommend relocating the unit away from heat sources or improving ventilation.
Checking Temperature via Web Interface
1. Open a modern web browser and enter the IP address of the KMS unit.
2. On the KMS web interface, click the red Diagnostics button.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the diagnostics page. The current temperature will be shown next to the “Temperature” label. In the example below, the unit is running at 74.10°C.
Checking Temperature via a Touchscreen
You can also check the temperature directly on the KMS touchscreen:
- Tap the Logwood logo
- Navigate to Settings → System Info
- View the Temperature field
Recommended: The KMS should remain below 80°C to ensure optimal performance.
