Within Cinchio Back Office, Deal Types are used as way to group together Deals used for similar purposes to help make managing the system a little easier. For example, you may have Deal Types representing Standard Discounts, Marketing Promotions, Meal Deals, Staff Discounts etc.
Creating Deal Types
To create a new deal type:
- Head to Product Management > Deals > Deal Types.
- Select [NEW DEAL TYPE].
Within the New Deal Type page, enter:
- Name: Enter the name of the deal type.
Select [SAVE DEAL TYPE].
Editing Deal Types
Existing deal types can be edited if required.
To edit a deal type:
- Head to Product Management > Deals > Deal Types.
- Locate the required deal type and select [EDIT].
Within the Edit Deal Type page, the following can be edited:
- Name: Enter the name of the deal type.
Select [SAVE DEAL TYPE].
Deleting Deal Types
A deal type can be deleted if no longer required, providing that no deals are assigned to the deal type.
You can only delete a deal type if you have rights to do so. Click Here if you do not have rights to delete but believe you should.
To delete a deal type:
- Head to Product Management > Deals > Deal Types.
- Locate the required deal type and select [DELETE].
The deal type is now deleted.
Note that if the [DELETE] button does not show, deals are assigned to the deal type.
