Ready to start?
Go to the Create tab.
Create
Add a new deal type to group your deals by.
Steps

Start a new deal type
Go to Product Management > Deals > Deal Types and select New Deal Type.

Name it
On the New Deal Type page, enter a Name for the deal type.

Save it
Select Save Deal Type.
The deal type can now be chosen for your deals.
Edit
Rename an existing deal type.
Only the name can change
The name is the only thing you can edit on a deal type.
Steps

Open the deal type
Go to Product Management > Deals > Deal Types, find the deal type and select Edit.

Change the name
On the Edit Deal Type page, change the Name.

Save it
Select Save Deal Type.
The deal type is renamed.
Delete
Remove a deal type you no longer need.
You can only delete a deal type if
You have delete rights
If you don't but think you should, find out how to get access.
No deals use it
If any deals are assigned to the deal type, the Delete button doesn't show. Move those deals to another deal type first.
Steps

Find the deal type
Go to Product Management > Deals > Deal Types and find the deal type.

Delete it
Select Delete.
The deal type is deleted.
