Kitchen Routing: Assigning Routing Groups to Products
How to assign a kitchen routing group to a product so it prints to the right kitchen device.
Before you start
Kitchen routing groups control how menu items are printed or presented on kitchen devices. You must log in using Company View (All Stores) to create kitchen routing groups, then log in using a specific site to define printer routing for that site.
Once you have selected to add a new item, or selected an already created item, you will be within the "Extended Item Setup" page.
Here you will be able to assign a routing group to a product. These routing groups are the ones created in the "Kitchen Routing" menu.
Note
This is not a mandatory field, but it is useful for organising printing. For example, a soft drink in the "Drinks" routing group will only print to the bar.
