Cinchio’s Product Preparation feature allows users to record and manage on-site production of items, helping keep stock levels accurate as products are made.

When a preparation is recorded, stock is automatically adjusted. The stock on hand of the finished product increases, while the quantities of the ingredients used are reduced. This ensures inventory reflects the most up-to-date position following kitchen activity.

Two types of product preparation are supported:

• Made products – used for items with multiple ingredients based on a recipe (e.g. sauces or baked goods)
• Preparation products – used for transforming a single product from one state to another (e.g. cooking meat or rice)

This provides clear visibility of how stock is being used and produced, while keeping inventory accurate without manual adjustment.
