About
Recipe adjustments, part of Inventory Management, let you fine-tune a product's recipe in specific situations. When the conditions are met, the system applies both the original recipe and the adjustment:
Stock movements from the original recipe are still recorded, and the adjustment adds to or offsets them. That keeps your stock accurate however the product is sold.
Three types of adjustment
Changes the recipe by how the product is sold, such as eat-in or delivery.
Changes the recipe by where the product is sold.
Changes the recipe by both how and where it's sold.

Assigning Adjustments
Add a recipe adjustment to a product, for a price level, a location, or both.
Before you start
For every adjustment, first create a recipe product holding the ingredients to apply on top of the original recipe. It can include negative quantities, for example to take something out.
Which type of adjustment?
Price level
Adjusts the recipe when the product is sold on a particular price level, or on any price level of a particular price level type.
For example

Go to Product Management > Products, find the product and select EDIT, then PRICE LEVEL RECIPE ADJUSTMENTS.

Select NEW PRICE LEVEL RECIPE ADJUSTMENT, then choose:
Where the adjustment applies.
The adjustment recipe to apply when those conditions are met.

Select SAVE.
Location
Adjusts the recipe when the product is sold at a particular location, or at any location in a particular site.
For example

Go to Product Management > Products, find the product and select EDIT, then LOCATION RECIPE ADJUSTMENTS.

Select NEW LOCATION RECIPE ADJUSTMENT, then choose:
Where the adjustment applies.
The adjustment recipe to apply when those conditions are met.

Select SAVE.
Price level & location
Adjusts the recipe when the product is sold on a particular price level at a particular location.
For example

Log in to the site that has the location needing the adjustment.

Go to Product Management > Products, find the product and select EDIT, then PRICE & LOCATION RECIPE ADJUSTMENTS.

Select NEW PRICE & LOCATION RECIPE ADJUSTMENT, then choose:
Where the adjustment applies.
The adjustment recipe to apply when those conditions are met.

Select SAVE.
Viewing Adjustments
See every recipe adjustment at once, or just the ones on a single product.

To see every recipe adjustment in your product database in one place, use the Recipe Adjustments report.
A specific product

Go to Product Management > Products, find the product and select EDIT.

Select the adjustment type to view:
- PRICE LEVEL RECIPE ADJUSTMENTS
- LOCATION RECIPE ADJUSTMENTS
- PRICE & LOCATION RECIPE ADJUSTMENTS
Each adjustment shows where it applies, and the Additional Recipe Product added on top of the original recipe there.
