Introduction
Cinchio's Periods feature allows sites to manage and track stock and cash activity over defined timeframes. Periods provide a structured way to capture counts and review performance on a regular basis.
Within a period, users may see two sections:
- Stock Period – for managing and counting inventory
- Cash Period – for recording and reconciling cash
The sections available will depend on the modules in use.
Custom count sheets are used to enter stock and/or cash counts for each site. Once counts are completed, a range of reports becomes available, helping users review performance and identify any variances during the period.
When a period is closed, stock and/or cash balances are updated based on the declared counts, and all data within the period is locked to prevent further changes. This ensures accuracy and consistency in reporting.
Periods can be set to different durations depending on operational needs. Company Periods can also be used to align period dates across multiple sites, providing a consistent approach to managing and reviewing performance.
