Transactions
Transactions from all sources are normalised on the way into Cinchio Back Office, ensuring consistency in the way that transactions are presented and reported throughout Cinchio Back Office.
Transactions can be accessed in many ways throughout Cinchio Back Office via links in various dashboards and reports, and the Transaction Search feature is available to search for and export transactions.
Within a transaction, details that make up the transaction and information related to the transaction is split into the following distinct sections:
Transaction Details
The Transaction Details section contains core details about the transaction.
| Transaction Date & Time | The date and time that the transaction was closed at source. |
| Site | The site where the transaction occurred. |
| Location | The location within the site above where the transaction occurred. |
| Till | The till that the transaction was closed against. |
| Transaction ID | The unique ID of the transaction within Cinchio Back Office. |
| Order Reference | The customer order reference / receipt number assigned to the transaction by the transaction source. |
| Transaction Type | The Type of transaction. |
| Source | The source system where the transaction originated from. |
| Team Member | The team member that entered the transaction. |
| Ext Txn ID | The external ID assigned to the transaction within Cinchio Back Office. |
| Covers | The number of covers entered against the transaction. (If applicable.) |
| Table Number | The table number assigned to the transaction. (If applicable.) |
Within this section, the following tools are also available if applicable:
Transaction Customer
The Transaction Customer section only shows if the transaction has customer information - or a Cinchio Customer record - associated with it.
| Full Name | The customers name. |
| Mobile No. | The customers contact number, if provided. |
| Customer Code | The customer code, if the customer shown is a Cinchio Customer. |
| The customers email address, if provided. | |
| Landline | The customers contact number, if provided. |
| Address | The customers address, if provided. |
Transaction Sale Items
The Transaction Sale Items section displays a table containing each product sold within the transaction.
The table columns vary depending on the Reporting Profile used by your company.
Reporting Profile: Tax Inclusive (UK Style)
| Product | Displays the products Back Office name. |
| Sale Type | The Type of sale item line in the transaction. |
| Unit Price | Displays the price of a single unit before any discount. |
| Quantity | Displays the quantity sold. (Or refunded, if negative.) |
| RRP | Displays the gross value for the line before discount is removed. |
| Gross | Displays the gross value for the line after discount is removed. |
| Net | Displays the net value for the line after discount is removed. |
| Tax | Displays the tax value for the line. |
| Discount | Displays discount value, if applicable. (Calculated as RRP less Gross.) |
| Price Level | Displays the price level that the product was sold on. |
If there is a note against a sale item, an ⓘ icon is available on the row which shows the note entered when selected.
If the Sale Type is "Void", sale values are displayed as strikethrough text to denote voided values.
Reporting Profile: Tax Inclusive (US Style)
| Product | Displays the products Back Office name. |
| Sale Type | The Type of sale item line in the transaction. |
| Unit Price | Displays the price of a single unit before any discount. |

| Price Level | Displays the price level that the product was sold on. |
If there is a note against a sale item, an ⓘ icon is available on the row which shows the note entered when selected.

Transaction Payments
The Transaction Payments section displays payments received to finalise the transaction, as well as information on any non-revenue liabilities and charges received too.
In the Payments Received section:
| Payment Type | Displays the media type that the payment media is assigned to. |
| Payment | Displays the payment media. |
| Amount | Displays the payment amount. |
| Reference | Displays a payment reference, if applicable. |
In the Liabilities & Charges section:
| Payment Type | Displays the media type that the payment media is assigned to. |
| Payment | Displays the payment media. |
| Amount | Displays the payment amount. |
| Type | Displays the type of liability/charge, per media type setup. |
In the Payments Summary section:
- Payments Received: Displays the total from the Payments Received section.
- Liabilities & Charges: Displays the total from the Liabilities & Charges section.
- Net Payment Total: Displays the total payment received that is considered revenue. This matches the total sale amount received for all sale items in the Transaction Sale Items section.
Transaction Events
The Transaction Events section displays events related to this transaction to provide insight into what happened during and after this transaction took place.
| Event Time | Displays the time that the event took place. |
| Source | Displays the source of the event. This column can be filtered to specific sources, if required. |
| Message | Displays a message explaining what happened to the transaction. |
Transaction Stock Movements
The Transaction Stock Movements section is applicable only for companies using the Inventory Management module, and displays each theoretical stock movement generated by each product sold within the transaction, based on the product recipes at the time that the transaction processed into Cinchio Back Office.
| Products | Displays each supplied product with a stock movement generated by this transaction, grouped by Sale Item. |
| Quantity | Displays the base quantity of the supplied product moved. |
| Cost | Displays the theoretical cost of the movement, based on the products cost/recipe at the time that the transaction processed into Cinchio Back Office. |
A total theoretical cost is available per Sale Item, as well as for the transaction overall.
Based on the total net sale amount for the transaction and the cost show, the theoretical transaction Gross Margin is shown for reference.
