Company Configuration
This article covers each of the the company-wide settings available in Company Setup.
Changes here can affect all users, so proceed with care. Some settings relate to specific features or impact other areas of Cinchio Back Office; where relevant, these connections are highlighted.
To access these settings, go to Company Settings > Company.
The settings are organised into tabs based on access level, each of which is covered below.
To save any changes, select [SAVE COMPANY].
Head Office
Within the Head Office tab you can define the following:
| Name | Displays the company name as seen throughout Cinchio Back Office. |
| Address 1 | Enter the Head Office address line 1. |
| Address 2 | Enter the Head Office address line 2. |
| City | Enter the Head Office address city. |
| Country | Select the Head Office address country. |
| County / State | Select the Head Office county / state. |
| Postcode / ZIP | Enter the Head Office postal / ZIP code. |
| Phone | Enter the Head Office main contact number. |
| Enter the Head Office main contact email. | |
| Company Logo | Select [CHOOSE FILE] to upload a logo for your company to show throughout Cinchio Back Office. |
Sites
Sites
Within the Site tab, the following information is available per site:
| Site Name | Displays the name of the site. |
| Phone Number | Displays the sites phone number, if defined. |
| Displays the sites email address, if defined. |
Select [EDIT] to access the Site Configuration page for any site.
Site Types
Within the Site Types tab, site types can be configured as per the Site Types feature.

Location Types
Within the Location Types tab, location types can be configured as per the Location Types feature.

Inventory Management
Within the Inventory Management tab you can define the following Inventory Management settings:
| Period Flexible Close Date | Select whether to allow flexible period end dates when creating a period. If flexible periods are not permitted, it is recommended that the Company Periods feature is enabled. |
| Stock Movements, Days Ahead | Select how far in advance of the current date a user can enter a planned stock movement (up to 30 days). (For example, how far in advance a supplier order or stock transfer can be prepared.) |
| Wipe Counts On Pending | Enabling this will wipe any counts entered into a stock period in Current state when the period is progressed to Pending state. |
| Product Preparation Yield Loss Wastage Type | If using the Product Preparations feature, select which Wastage Type any excess yield loss is reported against upon production completion. |
| Default GP Price Level | Select a default GP price level. In areas where a default GP is shown for a product, the product price used is per this price level. |
| Usage Per Thousand Enabled | This feature is currently unavailable. |
| Enable Invoice Reconciliation | This feature is currently unavailable. |
Global Settings
The Global Settings tab is split into multiple sub-sections covered below.
Global Settings
| Currency Symbol | Select which currency symbol to use throughout Cinchio Back Office. |
| Language |
Select the language that Cinchio Back Office should show as. This can be overwritten and Site Level, and for individual Users. |
| Date Format | Select which date format to use throughout Cinchio Back Office. |
| Year Week Day Start |
Select the start date and time of your financial year. This then determines the "reporting week" and "reporting day" (AKA Sales Date) used throughout Cinchio Back Office. For more information on reporting times, Click Here. |
Report Settings
| Reporting Profile | Select which Reporting Profile is applicable for your company. This impacts reporting throughout the entire back office. |
| Calendar Figures Type | Within the Site Calendar, select whether users across the company see a Net or Gross sales summary by default. Note that this can be overridden at Site Level, or individual User Level. |
| Tip Pool (%) | If your company operates a tip pool, enter the percentage of applicable sales (per Tip Pool settings below) that each team members tip pool value is based on. |
| Tip Pool Calculated On |
If Tip Pool (%) is configured, select which metric the percentage is based on from Total Gross Sales, Total Net Sales or Declared Tips. If Declared Tips is selected, the tip pool value is a percentage of tips declared by the team member at the POS. If a Sales option is selected, the tip pool value is a percentage of all sales, unless a Tip Pool Product Family is selected to restricted to selected products (per below). |
| Tip Pool Product Family | If Tip Pool Calculated On is either Total Gross Sales or Total Net Sales, if applicable, select a product family to restrict the tip pool calculation to selected products. (If all sales, leave this blank.) |
| Default VAT Rate |
Select the default tax rate to be used when the actual sales tax rate is not obtainable. This is typically only used under instruction; Contact Cinchio for more details. Note that this can be overridden at Site Level. |

Dashboard Type (Deprecated) |
Select the Like For Like Dashboard type for all users as either:

Service/Tips Accounts Chart (Deprecated) |
Applicable only if the "Dashboard Type" (see above) is set as Restaurant. Select the relevant Sales type Chart Account. Products within product groups that have the same sales account assigned will be excluded from dashboard figures. This method is typically used to exclude service charge and tips for legacy systems; for more details on service charge and tips for modern systems, Click Here. |
Revenue Management Settings
| Cash Up End Date Restriction | Select whether there is a restriction in how far in advance users within the company can create cash ups. If defined, users will be prevented from creating a cash up with a sales date that exceeds the selected option. |
| Cash On Site Alert Threshold % | Set the percentage threshold for the minimum balance warning within the Cash On Site section. If a sites cash on site drops below the value of the minimum balance plus this threshold, a warning indication is shown. |
| Cash Up Checks For Customer Assignments |
Select this to enable the cash up Transaction Customer Assignment Periods feature. For more details on the cash up Transaction Customer Assignment feature, Click Here. |
User Management Settings
| Time Clock Entry Method |
For time clock records declared via Cinchio Back Office, select whether team members should be clocking on and off using either:

| Export Approved Time Clock Entries Only | Enable this is custom time clock exports should be limited to exporting time clocks in Approved state or higher. |
| Allow Time Clocks Tip Declaration | For time clock records declared via Cinchio Back Office, set whether or not team members should be prompted to enter cash tips received when clocking off. |
| Time Clocks Require Job Role | For time clock records declared via Cinchio Back Office, set whether or not Job Roles should be selected by team members when clocking on. |
NCR POS Integration Settings
| Card Tips Media |
For NCR POS companies with integrated EMVs that are enabled for card tipping, select which payment media that the value of card tips should be assigned to within Cinchio Back Office transactions. For more details on card tip reporting, Click Here. Note that this feature must be enabled by Cinchio on your behalf before selecting a media. Contact Cinchio for more details. |
| Gratuity Media |
For NCR POS companies that have automatic service charge enabled (within Store Settings), select which payment media that the value of service charge should be assigned to within Cinchio Back Office transactions. For more details on service charge reporting, Click Here. Note that this feature must be enabled by Cinchio on your behalf before selecting a media. Contact Cinchio for more details. |
| Service Charge Media |
For NCR POS companies that have manual service charge enabled (as a manual charge), select which payment media that the value of service charge should be assigned to within Cinchio Back Office transactions. The external ID of the charge must be defined first (see row below). For more details on service charge reporting, Click Here. Note that this feature must be enabled by Cinchio on your behalf before selecting a media. Contact Cinchio for more details. |
| Service Charge POS External ID |
For NCR POS companies that have manual service charge enabled (as a manual charge), enter the external ID of the charge as defined within the POS. You must also select which payment media that the value of service charge should be assigned to within Cinchio Back Office transactions once the ID has been entered (see row above). For more details on service charge reporting, Click Here. Note that this feature must be enabled by Cinchio on your behalf before selecting a media. Contact Cinchio for more details. |
Miscellaneous Settings
| Transaction Footer Notes |
Enter a message to be included in the footer of transactions when a PDF is exported from Cinchio Back Office. For example, a service charge message; ‘thank you for your custom’ message; social media details etc. Note that this can be overwritten at Site Level. |
| Default Remote Orders Display | Select whether the Remote Orders section of the Operations Dashboard should show future orders by default, or all orders today by default. |
| Enable Company-Wide Periods |
Select this to enable the Company Periods feature. For more details on the Company Periods feature, Click Here. |
| KMS Order Target | Enter the number of minutes that is the target time for orders to complete within when flowing through the kitchen. This can be overridden at site or location level. |
Back Office Orders
Within the Back Office Orders tab you can define default settings to use when placing back office orders:
| Default Customer Orders Price Level |
If applicable, select a default price level to use when placing Customer Orders. For more information on Customer Order defaults, Click Here. |
| Default Customer Orders Media |
If applicable, select a default payment media to use when placing Customer Orders. For more information on Customer Order defaults, Click Here. |
Product Attributes
Within the Product Attributes tab, you can manage product attributes that can be 'tagged' against products within the products section.

Period Management
Within the Period Management tab, periods can be managed as per the Company Periods feature.

Day Note Types
Within the Day Note Types tab, day note types can be configured as per the Cash Up Day Notes feature.

Day Part Types
Within the Day Part Types tab, day part types can be configured so that sites and/or locations can assign times to those day part types for reporting, wastage and/or remote order capacity.

GL Code Management
Within the GL Code Management tab you can select which methods of GL management are required.
| GL Code Sales Mapping By Price Level & Master Group | Enable this option if sales GL assignment within Custom Reporting should be based on a matrix of master groups and price level types. Once enabled, the GL code matrix is managed within the GL Codes For Sales section. |
| Sales Tax GL Account | Select the relevant Sales type Chart Account that should be used for recording sales tax against the applicable GL account code throughout Custom Reporting. |
| Requires Product Group Sales GLs | Enable this option if Sales GL assignment is required at product group level. By enabling this option, you'll be alerted via the System Alerts widget on the landing page if any groups are missing a GL code. |
Operations Hub
Within the Operations Hub tab, you can manage what is available on the Operations Hub.
