Enterprise Reports: Product Sales

This report is only available to enterprise users with access to multiple companies.

Report Information

The Product Sales report gives enterprise users a clear view of product-level or product group sales across all companies in one place. Results can be viewed in full or broken down by company or site, making it easy to track performance at the level you need. This report helps you compare sales trends, identify top-selling products, and monitor performance consistently across your estate.

Access the Product Sales report via: Sales Reports > Product Sales.

The output of the report can very depending on the selected report filter options.

If required, this report can be created as a Saved Report and set up to send out periodically. 

Information on report filter options

The table below summarises report filter options available for this report.

Date Range Select which date range to include sales for. 
Companies Select which companies to report on. 
View Type

Select whether to view the report as: 

  • Consolidated: To combine all companies into one output. (Per currency.)
  • Split By Company: To see a separate output per company.
  • Split By Company & Site: To see a separate output per company, with sub-sections per site.  
  • Split By Company & Site & Location: To see a separate output per company, with sub-sections per site location.  
Analysis Style

Select whether to see data as: 

  • Product: See individual product sales.
  • Product Group: See product group sales per the Group By filter option.
Group By

Select the way in which sales should be grouped from: 

  • Consolidated: See a single consolidated output.
  • Super Group: See sales grouped by product super group.^
  • Master Group: See sales grouped by product master group.^
  • Product Group: See sales grouped by product group.^
  • Product Sales GL: See sales grouped by GL codes, based on sales GL accounts associated with product groups.  

^ If the View Type filter option is "Consolidated", groups across different companies will be consolidated into one if the name matches. 
Sort Order

Select which order to sort the data from: 

  • Alphabetically: See data listed in alphabetical order.
  • Net Sale Value: See data listed in order based on net sales, highest to lowest.
  • Sale Quantity: See data listed in order based on item quantity sold, highest to lowest.

Tax Inclusive Reporting (E.g. UK)

For companies using the Tax Inclusive Reporting Profile, this view of the report is shown as per the image below.

The table below summarises the data shown in each column of this report view. 

Product Displays the product name. 
PLU Displays the products PLU number. 
Quantity Displays the quantity of the product sold. 
Gross Displays the total gross sale value paid by customers.
Net Displays the total net sale value.
Tax Displays the total tax value.
Discount Displays the total gross discount value.
Avg Price Displays the average gross sale price for the product. 
Inclusion Rate Displays the percentage of total transactions in this section (per the View Type filter option) that the product has been sold in.  

 

Tax Exclusive Reporting (E.g. USA)

For companies using the Tax Exclusive Reporting Profile, this view of the report is shown as per the image below.

The table below summarises the data shown in each column of this report view. 

Product Displays the product name. 
PLU Displays the products PLU number. 
Quantity Displays the quantity of the product sold. 
Gross Displays the total net sale value before discount is applied.
Total Displays the total sale value paid by customers.
Net Displays the total net sale value.
Tax Displays the total tax value.
Discount Displays the total net discount value.
Avg Price Displays the average net sale price for the product. 
Inclusion Rate Displays the percentage of total transactions in this section (per the View Type filter option) that the product has been sold in.

Product Group Displays the product group name. (Or GL Account name, if applicable.)
Quantity Displays the total quantity of products assigned to this group sold. 
Gross Displays the total sale value paid by customers for products assigned to this group .
Net Displays the total net sale value for products assigned to this group. 
Tax Displays the total tax value for products assigned to this group. 
Discount Displays the total gross discount value for products assigned to this group. 
Avg Price Displays the average gross sale price of this group.
Inclusion Rate Displays the percentage of total transactions in this section (per the View Type filter option) that products within this group have been sold in.

Discount Displays the total gross discount value for products assigned to this group. 
Avg Price Displays the average gross sale price of this group.
