Introduction
For sites using Revenue Management, entering a count for each cash account at period end highlights any site cash variances, and updates the balance of each account for the start of the next period.
At the end of each period, you must enter a count for any cash, float or control account within your site.
The count declaration entered should be based on the date and time that the period ends.
Cash counts are entered into Cash Count Sheets, which can be customised to meet individual count requirements.
Entering Cash Counts
To enter cash counts, head to Period Management > Periods and against the period select [Cash Period].
Within the cash period:
- Ensure that the period is in Pending state. (More details Here.)
- In the Cash Counts section, against the required cash count sheet select [Edit].
Within the cash count sheet, enter counts against the relevant denominations.
Once the count has been entered, select either:
- [Approve] to mark the count sheet as fully complete.
- [Counted] to mark the count as counted, but requiring additional checks before approval.
Repeat for each count sheet in the period until all accounts are counted and all count sheets are Approved.
Once the count is complete, you can Review Period Results.
