About
The Deliveroo integration sends Deliveroo orders straight into Cinchio Back Office, so you don't have to enter them by hand. You can also build your Deliveroo menus in Cinchio Back Office and publish them from there.
Order integration
Deliveroo orders show in your reporting and on your kitchen screens. With Inventory Management, they use stock as they come in. With Revenue Management, they're tracked through to reconciliation and GL extracts.
Menu integration
Manage your Deliveroo menus in one place, alongside your other menus. No need to map products to product IDs in Deliveroo.
Understanding and managing your integration
Which part of the integration?
Orders
Deliveroo orders come into Cinchio Back Office as soon as they're accepted. Each order is converted to the same format as your other sales, so it reports in the same way.
What each transaction includes
The products sold in the order, with their modifiers.
The gross price paid. Net and tax are worked out from each product's tax rate in Cinchio Back Office.
Order discounts, at transaction level. Tax on the discount uses the average tax rate of the items in the order. See discounts.
Not treated as combo discounts by default. See meal deals.
The order accepted time and pick-up time. You choose which one is used as the transaction time.
The order reference, and any order and item notes.
Orders on your KMS
If your site uses an integrated KMS, the order goes to the kitchen when it's received. For future orders, it goes a set number of minutes before pick-up.
Managing the order integration

Getting set up
Onboarding Information
Cinchio works with you to set up the Deliveroo integration, for your first locations and any you add later.
Steps
1
Ask Cinchio to set up the integration
If you haven't already discussed it with your account manager, contact Cinchio using the buttons at the top of this article.
Cinchio sets up each location in Cinchio Back Office for you, then gives you:
Location ID
One for each location. You'll enter it in Deliveroo in step 4.
Integration price level
The price level used for Deliveroo orders. You'll set it up in step 2.
2
Enter prices and tax rates
On the integration price level, enter the correct price and tax rate for every product you sell on Deliveroo.
Do this even if you manage menus in Deliveroo
The tax rates on this price level set the net and tax values of every Deliveroo transaction in Cinchio Back Office.
3
Set up your menus
How will you manage your Deliveroo menus?

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
QHow are Deliveroo remake orders handled?
Deliveroo sends a remake when an order has to be made again, for example because of a driver issue. Once it's accepted, its items go to the kitchen as normal.
In reporting, a remake transaction:
Its header shows which transaction it's a remake of.
Items are sold in their original quantities, so stock is still used, but at a gross value of £0.00, so daily sales aren't inflated. A "Deliveroo Remake" product is added too, so you can count remakes.
The payment total is £0.00. The original "Deliveroo" payment shows as a negative, offset by a "Deliveroo Remake" payment.
QHow are cancelled Deliveroo orders handled?
When a Deliveroo order is cancelled, its transaction is removed from Cinchio Back Office automatically.
Tell the kitchen
If your site uses a KMS, the order will already have gone to the kitchen, so let them know it's cancelled.
Orders placed well in advance only go to the kitchen a set number of minutes before pick-up. If they're cancelled before then, they don't go to the kitchen at all.
QHow are Deliveroo refunds handled?
Deliveroo doesn't share refunds through its integration, so refunds made in Deliveroo don't show in Cinchio Back Office automatically. To record one, either:
Reverse the transaction
For a full refund. See reversing a transaction.
Enter a refund
For a full or partial refund. See entering a customer order.
Closed periods
If your site uses periods, you can't do either once the period the refund date falls in has closed.
QHow are Deliveroo discounts handled?
Discounts on Deliveroo orders are recorded against one "Deliveroo Discount" product, which reports alongside your other discounts. Tax on the discount uses the average tax rate of the items it applies to.
The discount can be split proportionally across the items in the order instead. To turn this on, contact Cinchio using the buttons at the top of this article.
QCan I manage my menus in Deliveroo instead?
Yes. Every product on your Deliveroo menus must be mapped to its Cinchio Back Office Product ID in Deliveroo. Export a full list of product IDs with the Product List report.
If a product isn't mapped to a valid product ID, its sales are recorded against a failsafe "REMOTE ORDER MAPPING ERROR" product. The rest of the order still comes through for your KMS, and the order's gross, net and tax totals are still correct. See finding orders with mapping errors.
QI have more than one Deliveroo account. Can I publish menus to all of them?
Yes. Each Deliveroo account (Brand ID) needs its own Deliveroo menu destination for your company. To arrange this, contact Cinchio using the buttons at the top of this article.
QDo I need to republish menus after every change?
Republish when you change anything that's published to Deliveroo, such as names, prices, images or availability.
You don't need to republish after changing a product's tax rate, or after suspending a product.
Troubleshooting
Meal deals aren't reporting as combos
By default, Deliveroo sends a meal deal as a single product, with its items as zero-priced modifiers. So meal deals don't report as combo discounts.
To report them alongside your other combos, turn on Combo Reconciliation for the integration. See delivery meal deals.
