About
Menu Timings lets you change when a shared menu is available at particular locations, without changing the menu itself.
Every menu has its own default menu times: the days it's available and the times on each day. Every location the menu is linked to uses those times, unless you override them here.
Do you need Menu Timings?
No, if the hours are the same everywhere
Set the days and times in the menu itself, in Menu Builder. Nothing is needed here.
Yes, if a shared menu needs different hours
For example, one breakfast menu used by several locations, where one location serves it until 11am and the rest until 10:30am. Override the times for that location here.
Different opening hours?
If locations only differ because their sites open and close at different times, set site opening hours instead. The menu is then cut back automatically to when each site is open. See how opening hours affect menus.
How a menu's times are worked out
1. Menu Timings overrides
If there are overrides here, they're used.
2. Site opening hours
If not, and the site has site opening hours, the menu's default times are used, but cut back so the menu isn't available while the site is closed.
3. Default menu times
Otherwise, the menu's default menu times are used.

Menu Timings
View when your menus are available at each location and destination, and override the times where a shared menu needs different hours.
Only for shared menus with different hours
If a menu's hours are the same at every location, change them in the menu instead. Overrides here only apply to the locations and destinations you set them on.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
QWhat times are used when a menu is published?
When a menu is published, its times for each day of the week are worked out in three steps:
1. Menu Timings overrides
If there are overrides here, they're used.
2. Site opening hours
If not, and the site has site opening hours, the menu's default times are used, but cut back so the menu isn't available while the site is closed.
3. Default menu times
Otherwise, the menu's default menu times are used.
Site opening hours
If a site has opening hours, they cut a menu's times back to when the site is open. That way, one menu can be shared across lots of sites without overrides in Menu Timings for every site with different hours.
Example
A Breakfast Menu and Main Menu are shared across many sites. Set the breakfast menu's default start time to when the earliest site opens, and the main menu's default end time to when the latest site closes. When published, sites that open later don't show breakfast until they open, and sites that close earlier don't show the main menu after they close.
If a site doesn't have opening hours set:
Days left Open
The menu uses its default times.
Days set to Closed
The menu isn't available that day.
