About
The Day Part Sales report shows key sales figures for each part of the day, using your reporting day parts. Compare services such as breakfast, lunch and dinner day by day, and see the detail by product or by transaction source.
Open it from Reports & Analysis > Sales > Day Part Sales. What it shows depends on the filters you choose.
Get it by email
Save this report as a saved report and schedule it to be emailed to you regularly.
Filters
Choose these before you run the report.
The sites or site groups to include.
The dates to include sales for.
What level 2 shows:
The day part types to include. Leave blank for all.
With the Product analysis style, the level of the product group hierarchy to group products by.
Tick to open the report with every level expanded. Otherwise, level 1 shows the summary and you can drill down as you need.
Tick to split the day part sales by sales date.
Report Output
Level 1 is the same whichever Analysis Style you choose. Level 2 depends on it.
Level 1: Day part sales
Key sales figures for each day part.
Level 2
Product sales, or transaction source sales, depending on the Analysis Style.

Product
Level 1: Day Part Sales
Key sales figures for each day part, in sections based on your View Type and Split By Sales Date filters. Select a day part to see level 2.
The reporting day part. Sales not in any day part show as Unknown.
Total gross sales, after discount.
Total net sales, after discount and excluding tax.
Total tax on the sales.
The customer count for the day part.
The number of covers for the day part, if entered.
Total discount on the sales.
Sales as a share of the total, within the section shown.
Level 2: Product Sales
Each day part split by product group, based on your Group By filter.
The product name and its PLU or code.
The quantity sold. Select it to see the transactions containing the product.
The product's gross sales, after discount.
The product's net sales, after discount and excluding tax.
The tax on the product's sales.
Total discount on the product.
Sales as a share of the total, within the section shown.
Transaction Source
Level 1: Day Part Sales
Key sales figures for each day part, in sections based on your View Type and Split By Sales Date filters. Select a day part to see level 2.
