The Average Sales report gives a daily snapshot of key sales figures. Open any date to break it down by hour, half-hour or quarter-hour, so you can spot trends.
Open it from Reports & Analysis > Sales > Average Sales. What it shows depends on the filters you choose.
Get it by email
Save this report as a saved report and schedule it to be emailed to you regularly.
Filters
Choose these before you run the report.
The dates to include sales for.
Break level 2 down into 15, 30 or 60-minute slots.
Show average sale values as Gross, Net or Both.
Tick to open the report with the time slots already expanded. Otherwise, the summary is shown and you can expand dates as you need.
The price levels to report on. Leave blank for all.
Report Output
The report has two levels. Select a date to drill down from one to the next.
1. Daily summary
Key sales figures for each date.
2. Time-slot summary
The same figures for each time slot on one date.

Tax Inclusive (UK style)
Level 1: Daily Summary
A summary of sales for each date. Select a date to see its time slots.
The sales date the sales belong to.
The customer count for the date.
The number of covers entered for the date, if any.
The average sale value, based on the customer count.
The number of products sold.
Total gross sales, after discount.
Total net sales, after discount and excluding tax.
Total tax.
Total discount.
Each date's share of sales across the whole report.
Level 2: Time-Slot Summary
The same figures as level 1, broken down into time slots for the selected date, based on the Time Period filter. The columns are the same as level 1.
Tax Exclusive (US style)
Level 1: Daily Summary
A summary of sales for each date. Select a date to see its time slots.
The sales date the sales belong to.
The customer count for the date.
The number of covers entered for the date, if any.
The average sale value, based on the customer count.
The number of products sold.
Total gross sales: net sales before discount.
Total sales revenue received: net sales with tax added.
Total net sales, after discount and excluding tax.
Total tax.
Total discount.
Each date's share of sales across the whole report.
Level 2: Time-Slot Summary
The same figures as level 1, broken down into time slots for the selected date, based on the Time Period filter. The columns are the same as level 1.
