Introduction
Cinchio’s Wastage feature allows users to record and track inventory that has been lost, damaged, or otherwise unusable. It can also be used to make positive adjustments where stock needs to be increased, such as when previously missing items are found. Wastage entries can be created and managed within the Back Office, helping maintain accurate stock levels and improve reporting.
Where required, users can select a Wastage Type to give more context on why stock has been written off or adjusted. This helps provide better visibility and understanding of stock changes across the business.
For customers using the Inventory Management module, wastage can be recorded against:
- Supplied products
- Recipe products
- Product preparations products (Preparation and Made)
For customers not using Inventory Management, wastage can still be recorded for reporting purposes, using stock type “Other” products.
Wastage templates are also available for commonly recorded entries, helping speed up data entry and reduce repetition.
And for locations with access to the Operations Hub, wastage can be entered front-of-house during service and submitted for approval in Back Office later.
