About
The Like For Like report compares net sales across your sites. For a selected date, see how sales compare with the previous day, the same day last week and the same day last year.
Open it from Reports & Analysis > Sales > Like For Like. What it shows depends on the filters you choose.
Yearly comparisons
Year-on-year comparisons use a 52 or 53-week year, following the ISO week date standard.
Get it by email
Save this report as a saved report and schedule it to be emailed to you regularly.
Filters
Choose these before you run the report.
The sites or site groups to include.
The date to report on, or select Today or Yesterday.
If selecting Today, choose the time to include sales up to.
For a By Site, view type, choose if to group sites using Site Types.
For the By Site & Location, view type, choose if to group locations using Location Types.
Report Output
The report has three levels. Select a row at each level to drill down to the next.
Same for every reporting profile
This report looks the same whichever reporting profile your company uses.
1. Total comparison
Total sales for all selected sites, shown per the View Type filter option, and grouped per the Grouping filter options.
2. Hourly comparison
Hour by hour sales for one selected site or location.
3. Transaction list
Every transaction in one hour.
Level 1: Total Comparison
A like for like net sales comparison for all selected sites, shown per the View Type filter option, and grouped per the Grouping filter options. Select a row to see its sales by hour.
Columns
The site or location name. (Per the View Type filter option.)
Net sales on the report date. For today, sales up to the Transactions Up To time.
Comparable net sales on the previous day.
Comparable net sales on the same day last week.
Average comparable net sales on the same day over the previous 4 weeks. Days with no sales are left out.
Comparable net sales on the same day last year.
The time of the site's last transaction in the report date.
Comparison colours
Within 5% either way.
More than 5% down.
More than 5% up.
Level 2: Hourly Comparison
A like for like net sales comparison for each hour, for the row selected in level 1. Select an hour to see its transactions.
The columns and comparison colours are the same as level 1.
Level 3: Transaction List
Every transaction in the hour selected in level 2.
Columns
The transaction's ID. Select it to see the full transaction.
When the transaction took place.
The till it took place on.
The team member who finished the sale.
The transaction type.
The transaction's gross sale value, after discount.
The transaction's net sale value, after discount and excluding tax.
