How prices work
Prices are held against price levels, such as eat in, takeaway or delivery. Each product has its own price and tax rate on each price level it's sold on.
Price level
A set of prices, for example for eat in or delivery.
Product price
What the product costs on that price level.
Tax rate
The tax applied to the product on that price level.
So the same product can have a different price, or a different tax rate, depending on how it's sold.
Ways to update prices
There are four places you can add or change a product's prices and tax rates on your price levels. Choose the one that suits the job. For lots of products at once, the Price List report is quickest.
Integrated price levels
If a price level is linked to an external system, you may not be able to change its prices or tax rates in Cinchio Back Office.
