FAQs
Frequently asked questions
QWhat is the Account on a template row for?
In a cash up template, every row needs a site account. When the cash up is approved, the count is moved into it.
You can choose any Cash, Bank or Control site account at the site. See account types.
Which type of account?
Cash
The count becomes cash on site. Bank it later with a bank deposit. If you bank cash every day, auto-generate pending deposits can help.
Bank
The count is treated as an automatic bank deposit. Usually used for card, delivery and other non-cash payments.
Control
The count is held until someone deals with it. Usually used for petty cash taken from the till and recorded on the POS: count the petty cash receipts against a Control account row, then match them to what was bought in a cash purchase to clear the account.
QCan a template show by default?
Yes. Templates are used in cash ups, safe counts and end of period counts.
Cash ups
Set a Default Cash Up Count Template. The most specific one is used:

Location
