Introduction
This article contains information on the YellowDog product integration into Cinchio Back Office, as well as the tools available within Cinchio Back Office which support the configuration and operation of your Cinchio Retail Kiosk.
Retail Kiosk Products
YellowDog Product Integration Information
Retail products received from YellowDog are automatically created as products within Cinchio Back Office, where product details are:
- Product Name Long = Products Description from YellowDog.
- Product Name Short = Products POS Description from YellowDog.
- Product Code = Products SKU from YellowDog.
- Product Groups = Default to "Retail".
Barcodes against the product in YellowDog are assigned against the product in Cinchio Back Office, seen within the products Barcodes section
If the product is available at your store in YellowDog, the price against the product in YellowDog for your store is assigned against the product in Cinchio Back Office, seen within the products Prices & Costs section.
The price is linked to a Cinchio Price Level specific to your store, and the tax rate is inherited from that prices levels Default Tax Rate setting, which can be adjusted for individual products if required. (See the Product Prices & Tax section later in this article.)
If the product is available at your store in YellowDog, the product is also assigned against a product family within Cinchio Back Office, seen within the products Product Families section.
Products within your stores product family are available to scan on the retail kiosk at your store.
Adding Products Into The Menu
Scannable Items
You do not need to add scannable items into the menu.
These products will become available automatically via the delta publication process once the product is received into Cinchio Back Office via the YellowDog integration.
Note that it can take up to 30 minutes for new products in YellowDog to reach Cinchio Back Office.
Non-Scannable Items
For non-scannable items, products can be added into menu categories using the Menu Builder feature to make them available for customers to select using dedicated buttons on the retail kiosk.
If you are familiar with building F&B menus, the process for adding menu categories and items is the same.
If you're new to adding menu categories and items within the Menu Builder, see This Article.
Product Prices & Tax
When onboarding retail kiosks and your YellowDog store is linked to Cinchio Back Office, a Default YellowDog Price Level is created for your store which contains the prices for products at that store.
You can see that price level within the Retail Kiosk Configuration section of the Location Setup page.
When a product is created in Cinchio Back Office via the integration process, the price against your store in YellowDog is set against the Cinchio price level associated with your store.
The tax rate against this price is set per the Default Tax Rate setting against the price level.
If required, the tax rate can be changed to something other than the default for any individual product.
Information on updated a products tax rate is covered in This Article.

Publishing Menu Category & Item Changes
Changes made within the Menu Builder for products assigned to menu categories (i.e. non-scannable items) require manual publication to the push those changes down to your retail kiosk.
If you are familiar publishing F&B menus, this process is the same.
If you're new to manual menu publication, see This Article.
Note that manual menu publication will include any pending deal changes not yet published (as covered below).
Publishing Deal Changes
When a deal is added to or removed from a menu, the Auto-Publication Delta Process (covered above) will update the menu automatically. However, for a deal that exists on a menu currently, any changes within that deal are not published automatically and require a manually publication when all changes are complete.
Within a deal, or a product family associated with a deal, if any changes have been made you'll see the option to [Push Changes To Retail Kiosk].
Select this, and follow the prompts to publish the latest changes for all deals.
Alternatively, changes to deals can be published to individual locations via the standard menu publication process covered in the "Publishing Menu Category & Item Changes" section above.
